Vaccination Week in the Americas 2005

From April 23 to 30, countries from Canada to the tip of South America and throughout the Caribbean will be part of Vaccination Week in the Americas. The beneficiaries will be millions of children, young women, and seniors, mostly in remote areas.

Vaccination of Indigenous Children and Women Starts in Brazil
Throughout the month of April, approximately 750 health professionals and indigenous health workers will visit approximately 600 villages, located in 12 Brazilian states, immunizing 16,000 indigenous against 13 diseases. The priority is to vaccinate children under five, women of childbearing age and pregnant women. Read More
