Actitudes ante el tamizaje de cáncer de colon y recto en personas de origen mexicano que viven en los Estados Unidos
El cáncer de colon y recto constituye un problema de salud entre los latinoamericanos que viven en los Estados Unidos de América (EUA) y sus descendientes, ya que es el segundo tipo de cáncer más frecuente y la tercera causa de muerte en este grupo étnico. Para su detección temprana se recomienda a las personas de más de 50 años someterse a pruebas de tamizaje. Sin embargo, entre los estadounidenses de origen latinoamericano--el grupo de más rápido crecimiento en los EUA--se observan las tasas más bajas de tamizaje. En este estudio se evalúan algunos factores que inciden en la aceptación de tres pruebas utilizadas.
