Strategic Planning Workshop for Tuberculosis Control (Santa Cruz, Bolivia, 28–30 May 2006) The objectives of this meeting, attended by the 11 priority countries, were to (1) define goals for case-finding and treatment success rates of in priority countries for the period 2006–2015, in line with the existing epidemiological burden and the current status of TB control; (2) prepare a plan for control activities aimed at reaching case-finding and treatment success goals, using the planning model developed for the Global Plan; (3) estimate costs for Plan implementation in priority countries, using the costs model developed for the Plan; and estimate the epidemiological impact at both country and regional level.
